St. Tammany Parish Stands Down Gordon Operations

With the threat of Tropical Storm Gordon passed, St. Tammany Parish President Pat Brister announced Wednesday the stand-down of emergency operations and all Parish Government personnel will return to their normal duties on Thursday.

“We are grateful that the early predictions of serious impact to St. Tammany Parish, particularly the Slidell area, did not materialize,” said Brister.

A press release said nearly 85,000 sandbags were distributed to residents.
