Paul Mainieri's prediction has come to pass with Baseball America ranking LSU's 2018 signing class as the best in the nation.
Mainieri said in June he believed his team would be ranked number one when all was said and done, and the Tigers edged out other loaded classes from teams like Vanderbilt and Florida State.
According to Mainieri, several members of this year's class had the opportunity to go professional and sign contracts with seven-figure signing bonuses to play for the Tigers.
