Authorities are continuing to investigate an incident over the weekend that left two fishermen dead in Lake Pontchartrain.

Officials identify the victims as 87-year-old Levi Slaughter Jr. and his son, 62-year-old Levi Slaughter the Third, both of New Orleans.

State wildlife agents got word that a 19-foot boat had been found unmanned on the lake Saturday afternoon. The bodies of the men were found about six hours later near their boat with neither of them wearing life preservers.
