The Archdiocese of New Orleans is settling abuse claims involving a Roman Catholic priest and a deacon from the 1980s.
The alleged abuse involved Father Kenneth Hamilton and deacon Lloyd Glapion at the St. Augustine Church in the 1980s. A news release from the church says it was just brought to light, and the men have both denied the accusations.
Details of the settlement and the allegations against the pair have not been released. Neither Hamilton or Glapion were named on the list released in November of credibly accused clergy members.
