As the TSA deals with a higher amount of employees calling out of work due to the ongoing partial government shutdown, figures show passengers arriving at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport are spending a maximum of 14 minutes in the security checkpoint areas.

"Yesterday’s complete figures show that TSA experienced a national rate of 7.5 percent of unscheduled absences compared to a 3.3 percent rate one year ago on the same weekday, Monday, Jan. 22, 2018; many employees are reporting that they are not able to report to work due to financial limitations," read a press release from the TSA.

Travelers using the TSA Pre-Check lanes at the New Orleans airport made it through security in less than 5 minutes Monday.
