Troopers Converging On Big Easy For Final Weekend Of Mardi Gras

Carnival season in New Orleans is continuing to grow to a fever pitch ahead of the arrival of Fat Tuesday next week.

And, to help keep the peace and assist the crowds that will pour into the city over the next six days, 170 additional state troopers are being dispatched to the area by Governor John Bel Edwards.

There are dozens of Mardi Gras parades taking place over the period, including that of the all-female Krewe of Muses tonight.
