A man is recovering after climbing a fence and plunging into the Mississippi River during the Buku Music + Art Festival early Saturday night.
His name has not been released but authorities say he had climbed a tall, chain-linked fence on the grounds of Mardi Gras World and then wound up in the river.
Rescue workers found him underneath a wharf where he was holding onto a piling. He was taken to the hospital "for observation."
