Several abortion bills are passing through the state House and Senate.

One approved constitutional amendment will ask Louisiana voters to amend the state constitution so that abortion or public funding for abortions are no longer legal rights.

Another bill will change the legal definition of abortion to specify medically induced abortions.

One more legislative proposal would require abortion facilities to report suspected human trafficking cases.

All the passed bills will head to Governor John Bel Edwards' desk, who is a self-proclaimed pro-life Democrat.
