Officials say they have launched an investigation into the death of an inmate at the Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola.
According to reports released yesterday, a fight broke out at the facility on Saturday night between Gary Francois and Major Jones that ended in Jones' death.
Both men were serving life sentences and had been incarcerated at Angola since 2017.
Jones' body has been taken for an autopsy, the results of which will determine if Francois could be facing any new criminal charges.
