The owners of the partially collapsed Hard Rock Hotel and the city of New Orleans are at odds over how to demolish the rest of the building.
On Monday, 1031 Canal Development, the hotel's owners said their initial contractor was unable to obtain liability insurance, and they would be working with Kolb Grading instead.
The city says it is not in favor of the current plan to bring the remaining parts of the hotel down piece by piece and has now begun to levy fines against 1031 Canal Development for sanitation, structure, and foundation violations.
