New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell says she is not canceling Halloween amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Cantrell answered a seven-year-old who was worried that she planned to cancel trick-or-treating due to safety reasons.
The Mayor said because the holiday is already an outdoors activity it will be less risky for spreading the virus and safety measures will still be put in place to protect participants.
The announcement comes after the city is laying out plans for Phase Three of its reopening this week.
