Two schools in Lafourche Parish are shutting down in-person learning until the end of the month due to cases of COVID-19.

Officials confirmed over the weekend that Central Lafourche High School and Lockport Upper Elementary School will begin remote learning starting today.

Students are expected to remain under a virtual learning model until at least November 30.

While students are away, custodians and maintenance personnel will deep clean both buildings.
