The Krewe of Bacchus is introducing two new experiences to help celebrate Mardi Gras during the pandemic.
Krewe officials announced yesterday plans to launch a new mobile app and a virtual parade.
The mobile app will allow users to create an avatar to catch, collect, and trade virtual throws with other users every Sunday during Carnival season.
On February 14, the Krewe will stream a virtual parade to the app featuring past Bacchus royalty, floats, and bands.
The Krewe will announce a celebrity master of ceremonies to host the parade, with over 1,600 Bacchus Krewe members expected to participate in making virtual throws.
