Louisiana Artists Receive Grammy Nominations

A bevy of artists from the Big Easy are celebrating after receiving Grammy nominations.

Harry Connick, Jr. topped the list after being nominated for his album True Love: A Celebration of Cole Porter.

Pianist Jon Batiste followed ensue with his nod for his album Chronology of a Dream: Live at the Village Vanguard, while P.J. Morton has been nominated for Best Gospel Album.

Other local artists received nominations for categories in Best Contemporary Instrumental Album, Best Traditional R&B Performance, and Best Regional Roots Music Album.

The 63rd Grammy Awards will take place on January 31st and will be hosted by Trevor Noah.
