Three Louisiana cities are ranked in a new study of the best places in America to have a staycation.
According to data released by consumer reports website WalletHub, New Orleans fell just outside the top ten of major U.S. cities for staying local for vacations.
The study looked at 46 metrics, including swimming pools per capita, access to recreation, playgrounds, parks, and food and entertainment options.
Out of 182 cities, New Orleans was rated best in the country at #12 overall, followed next by Shreveport at #103, and Baton Rouge at #105.
