Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy says the state's airports will receive nearly $36 million from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

The bipartisan bill deals with federal-aid highway, transit, safety, research, haz-mat, and rail programs of the Department of Transportation.

On top of annual funding, the infrastructure bill will provide funds for airports in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Lafayette, Monroe, Alexandria, Lake Charles, and a couple of dozen other cities and towns.
