City and parish officials are at odds over the handling of the current crime wave.

NOPD Chief Shaun Ferguson said on Monday that his officers keep arresting the same suspects, and the Criminal Justice System keeps letting them go.

Orleans District Attorney Jason Williams says Ferguson is trying to blame others for the problem, when a lot of the suspects have actually never been arrested.

On Tuesday, Mayor LaToya Cantrell's administration spoke up in support of Chief Ferguson and the NOPD.

Both parties spoke on the crime wave on Wednesday.
