Louisiana is entering into a new campaign to combat human trafficking in the state.

Gov. John Bel Edwards and First Lady Donna Edwards announced the initiation of the program on Tuesday

It will involve educating people about what to look for via billboards and promotion of the campaign's resource center.

The governor also introduced Dr. Dana Hunter, the executive director of the new Office of Human Trafficking Prevention.

Hunter said they'll speak with victims to help them recover and to save potential victims.
