Louisiana's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program can now be used to order groceries online at Walmart locations statewide.
So far Walmart is the only retailer approved for online purchases, but the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services says it expects other retailers will be added soon.
SNAP benefits, formerly known as Food Stamps, can't be used for delivery fees, so delivery services will have to be paid for some other way.
