A judge says the New Orleans mother accused of killing her daughter and wounding her son is temporarily incompetent to stand trial.

Four doctors interviewed 31-year-old Jenee Pedesclaux via Zoom two weeks ago and they say she was hallucinating and apparently hearing other voices.

An Orleans Parish magistrate ruled Pedesclaux incompetent on Wednesday.

She will be taken to a jail-based mental hospital.

Pedesclaux was charged with the murder of her three-year-old daughter and the attempted murder of her two-year-old son.
