The Orleans Parish judge who approved an agreement to lower the threshold of signatures needed on the recall petition against Mayor LaToya Cantrell reportedly signed the petition without disclosing it.

Last week, Judge Jennifer Medley signed off on a deal between the Secretary of State and recall organizers to lower the necessary number of signatures by 5,000 names.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune says Medley signed the petition in December.

The paper says Medley is the only elected official whose signature has turned up so far.
