LSU pitcher Paul Skenes and outfielder Dylan Crews are partners in a historic first in the MLB Draft.
On Sunday, Skenes was taken first overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2023 Draft. Immediately afterward, Crews was taken #2 overall by the Washington Nationals.
Their back-to-back selections are the first time players from the same school were picked first and second overall in the MLB Draft.
In addition, Skenes is only the second LSU player to be the #1 overall selection in the MLB Draft.
