164,000 Unpaid Parking Tickets In New Orleans In Last Year

New Orleans reportedly has about 164,000 parking tickets from the past year that have neither been paid nor dismissed.

The city's 311 dashboard shows 192,000 parking citations were handed out between January 11, 2023 and Wednesday.

Of that total, 16,000 have been paid and another 12,000 have been dismissed.

The Department of Public Works reportedly has 700 collections hearings scheduled.

At a minimum of $30 per ticket, the city is owed nearly $5 million, at least.
