New Orleans Pelicans star CJ McCollum is working with a nonprofit to kick off his McCollum Scholars Program.
The initiative will provide scholarships to ten New Orleans high school students.
Each student will be offered a four-year scholarship of up to $80,000.
McCollum Scholars and the nonprofit College Beyond displayed a million-dollar check payable to the "future of young people of New Orleans" on Tuesday.
