Jefferson Parish public schools on the east bank are still closed today because of a water main break.

School officials say low water pressure and a boil-water advisory are creating unsafe conditions for students and staff members.

The closure includes 32 east bank schools, involving more than 20,000 students and 2,600 staff.

Officials say East Jefferson schools are moving to virtual learning until in-person classes resume.
